Shawn Smithwick
Shawn Smithwick

Shawn started singing when she was 5 at her grandmother's retirement community clubhouse.  She sang all the way through junior and senior high school in many different choral groups and jazz ensembles.  Shawn is classically trained and received superior ratings at several state competitions for solo and ensemble work.  During her senior year in high school, she assisted the chorus teacher in giving voice lessons to other students.  She has been in two bands previously; one acoustic trio called "Two Bitches and a Guitar" and a heavy metal group named "Oz".  She has sung at weddings and funerals for friends and relatives as well as helping run and singing with a popular local karaoke show for four years.  In 2005, Shawn participated in "Daytona Idol".  She is married to James and they have 2 children; Connor and Zoe Bela.

Ron Poulin
Ron Poulin

A native of Berlin, NH, Ron began playing guitar in garage bands at 12 years old. He moved to Florida in 1975 and set music aside for a number of years. His love for music began to flourish once again after meeting Shawn Smithwick in 2004 and Richie Ray a few years later. In early 2007, Richie became Ron's mentor and performing partner. They soon asked Shawn to join them and Lunavine was formed. In early 2008, drummer Frank Jacob joined to further strengthen the act. Ron is married to Debra. They have two daughters; Karah and Rachel and live in South Daytona, Florida.

James Smithwick
James Smithwick

Growing up in rural South Georgia left pretty much nothing for James to do but play guitar. He started playing at the tender age of 15 and never looked back. James took up with the heavy metal kids in high school, and honed his chops there, though his interests include a plethora of styles like acoustic rock, industrial, and classic country. After joining, playing with, and eventually destroying several local bands, James moved to Florida in 2003, and soon thereafter met his wife Shawn. They shared similar interests in music, and after she joined Lunavine in 2007, she convinced him to join in early 2008. He enjoys writing music, constantly playing air-guitar, telling jokes, and avoiding the temptation to hold a regular day job. They have two wonderful children, Connor and Zoe, and Sugar, the coolest cat in the history of cats.

Tony James

Born in New York, Tony left home at the age of 18 to join the Air Force and to see the world. Tony has always been a lover of the arts, science, and music. At a very early age he began painting, sculpting, playing music and involving himself with all things of an artistic and scientific nature.  As a teenager, Tony was invited several times to display his art work in New York. He has donated several pieces to Universities and art schools. Tony has always loved music, and he started playing classical guitar at the age of 8. Tony still has his original classical guitar, which is displayed at his home in Palm Coast, and it definitely shows the signs of having traveled all around the world with him several times. Today, Tony is an engineer who owns his own business, and he still loves to design and to create.  He is a single father raising his 14 year old daughter and loving every minute of it. Above all else, Tony’s daughter is truly the most important thing in his life, and above any of his other accomplishments, his daughter is what he is most proud off.

Things settled down when he relocated to Daytona Beach and had the opportunity to meet the members of Lunavine in 2008 - he was a perfect fit for them and the rest is history! Frank is married to his best friend Carol, they have two sons Anthony and Sean who happen to think their Dad ROCKS!
